CV1963 Born in the Netherlands. Childhood on the Frisian lakes. 1992-1997 Discovers the magic world of marble & direct carving at Pietrasanta near the Italian Appenin Alps. Lives in Amsterdam, sculpture remains a passionate hobby. Apprenticeship at several art studios at Amsterdam and abroad. 1997 Leaves Amsterdam to start a new life in southern France (VAR). 1998 A new professional life starts in southern France. Creation of own sculpture studio. Develops her own proper style of sculpture. Self-thaught artist. 2003 Becomes a member of the French "Maison des Artistes". 2002 First personal sculpture show at Cotignac. (P) From 2002 onwards attends to Art Shows all over Europe. Her sculptures are represented by different Art Galleries at Paris, Amsterdam, Torino, Cipressa and FoxAmphoux. Her work is represented in serveral private collections in Europe and elsewhere. 1999 - 2019 During 21 years,organises intensive summer sculpting marble workshops "in direct carving" at her studio at Cotignac (VAR), with her compagnon sculptor Olivier Bataille. 2012 - Organises marble sculpting courses "in direct carving" at her studio at Cotignac, during winter from November till May, since 2012. About 7-10 Saturdays, one or two per month, six hours per day. The goal is to create during winter a personal work of art. All levels welcome, eight people max. |
